She Breaks Free
A peer program for women to team up as they tackle narcissism

Divorcing someone who has narcissistic personality disorder can be confusing and overwhelming. Women often feel alone in the process, fearing they’ve exhausted their loved ones as a result of the constant chaos. Leaving a narcissistic relationship can feel as difficult as quitting an addiction. You can, however, break free with the right support.
Enter, She Breaks Free – an accessible peer program where a licensed therapist matches you  with another woman in your state who can relate to the trauma and chaos. From there, a supportive ongoing relationship will help you navigate leaving a toxic one.

WHAT IS SHE BREAKS FREE?
A peer program where women who are breaking free from an emotionally abusive or narcissistic relationship can find support through a buddy system, coordinated by a licensed therapist.

WHO IS IT FOR?
Women actively breaking free from an emotionally abusive or narcissistic relationship.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
You will fill out a brief survey and have a screening call to discuss your individual situation and the areas where you could use support. I’ll then pair you with a buddy who is also in the process of separating, divorcing, or has divorced a narcissistic person. From that point on, you will communicate and support each other however you both decide is most beneficial.

WHAT WILL I GAIN?
  • Consistent support as you navigate the day-to-day confusion and complexity of responding to the constant complex situations people with narcissist personality disorder create.
  • Clarity around the confusion and self-doubt that is created when dealing with narcissism.
  • Suggestions and advice in response to the constant demands the narcissistic person feels entitled to.
  • Ideas about how to respond to their incessant harassment
  • Collaboration as you come up with ideas together on how to respond to your children when they are confused and stressed out
  • Commiseration about the lack of support the family court system provides victims of narcissistic abuse
  • Encouragement around setting boundaries and resisting their guilt trips including when to disengage and not take the bait

THE PROCESS
Step 1:
Fill out the brief questionnaire below, providing me with information about what part of the divorce process you are in and details about your divorce and pay the $49 fee here.

Step 2:
Have a brief screening phone call with me to further determine compatibility to be matched up with your buddy.

Step 3:
Phone numbers and first names are shared (please note it can take up to eight weeks to be matched, though it will often be sooner) You then have the freedom to create a connection and gain support from your buddy.

FAQs
Is this therapy?
No, She Breaks Free is a peer support program that a therapist coordinates. Therapy isn’t provided.
How long will it take to be matched?
It can take anywhere from one to eight weeks to be matched, depending on your needs and the amount of interest at the time you register. We do our best to get you synched up with a buddy as soon as possible.
How do I communicate with my buddy?
After you are matched, you and your buddy will decide what communication mode works best: text, email, phone calls, etc.
Do I ever meet my buddy in person?
All pairs are matched with women in their county so that this is an option if you decide this is something you’d like to do.
How much communication is required?
You and your buddy will decide this together. Though, due to the ongoing issues narcissism ignites, I recommend frequent check-ins. My hope is that you will find a good rhythm and respond to issues as they arise.
Can I remain anonymous?
Absolutely. Feel free to provide only your first name and phone number.
What if I don’t “click” with my buddy?
Reach out to me and we can work together to discuss the issue and the possibility of matching with a new buddy
